Mitchell watches a BNSF diesel freight train slide between a Southern Pacific Daylight and Amtrak passenger trains at the newly opened train museum in Sumner being built by Baron Manfred von Vierthaler. A warbonnet Super Chief rounds the bend and is about to meet with a narrow gauge steamer. This display, just a small portion of the layout that is under construction, features operating tracks in many sizes including O, O-27, American Flyer S, N and a portion of the G layout overhead. The series of buttons allow visitors like Mitchell to operate the dozens of accessories throughout the layout. By the way, all the trains here were running simultaneously... Truly music to a train nut's ears!

Before we headed downstairs for lunch in the winery restaurant, Mitchell decided the working logging mill was his favorite accessory and it had to be reloaded several times before he moved on. The larger engines use the pair of mainline loops here and guests can check out Manfred's huge train collection... a must see!
