This must be from Lionel's Modern Era
because books about Postwar Lionel (Greenberg, Vol. VII) say that all of
the slope-back tenders that had lettering at all were printed as Lionel
Lines. Also, the underside of this tender is plastic with molded in
detailing, and other Postwar tenders in my collection had metal plates.
The detailing is actually pretty nice, and the upper shell is clearly
the same (identical) as the
Postwar 1050-T tender
in my collection, with the addition of a Lionel logo at the back of the
tender's side. A nice little tender thas has a vintage look. |
