The 8050-T product number is clearly
imprinted on the rear plate of the tender, but I cannot find it listed
in the books. It obviously accompanies the
8617 4-4-2 Steam
Engine that has the yellow stripes. One neat feature about this
tender is the round "rattle" that is clearly visible beneath the trucks
in the photo above. When the train is in motion, the rattle rolls along
the center rail and beads within the disc actually make a chuffing noise
very similar to a steam engine. The noise even accelerates and
decelerates with the speed of the train. The process is so simple, it's
brilliant. This tender is in excellent shape with none of the paint wear
that the
previously mentioned engine has. The rear truck has an operating
knuckle coupler for remote de-coupling. |
