204 Steam Engine

This heavy die-cast metal engine is by no means perfect, but probably is not too bad for a train that was produced before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It is the more valuable Gun-metal Gray variant (another version of the 204 was produced in the standard black casting.) The trailing wheels are missing. The linkage arms on the main driving wheels also need a few parts in order to attach up front. The silver bell atop the boiler is still attached and paint wear is present but not excessive for a train this age. Lionel placards are molded into both sides of the boiler (toward the front) and Lionel information is imprinted to the underside of the engine.
