Models by Steve Heeb
(Puyallup, Wash.)

Derrike Cope (Spanaway, Wash.)
The No. 10 Lumina reflecting his his Purolator sponsorship
from 1998 to 1992, which included his 1990 Daytona 500 win,
and his No. 98 Thunderbird sponsored by Bojangles in 1993. I
used aftermarket decals on the Bojangles car, and it really
is only about 90% complete at this point. |

Pat Bliss (Spanaway, Wash.) The ’84
Thunderbird that Pat competed in from 1988-1997,
predominantly at her hometrack Bremerton Raceway. The
markings were hand-painted with very thin graphic tape
applied to represent the pinstriping. I also had to swap in
a hood scoop from another kit so that it would match the one
she was using on her T-Bird. not long after I completed this
kit, the actual car was destroyed in a racing accident at
Bremerton Raceway. |

Chad Little (Spokane, Wash.) I
always liked the simple but eye-catching paint scheme on
Chad Little’s No. 97 John Deere Pontiac. The kit-provided
contingency stickers were a little sparse, and I have since
seen a Slixx decal sheet for Chad's Grand Prix that would
have been much more complete. |

Greg Biffle (Vancouver, Wash.) The
No. 50 Grainger Ford truck Greg piloted to a 1998 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series Rookie-of-the-Year title and followed
up with the 2000 NCTS championship. I was able to use the
cover of Inside Track as a reference photo for Greg's
championship truck. |

Pat Austin (Tacoma, Wash.) The Top
Fuel Dragster was just one of the weapons in Pat Austin’s
arsenal he used to put together an amazing drag racing
career, recognized as No. 13 on the NHRA’s all time Top 50
Drivers list. Someday, I would like to do a model of one of
Pat's Funny Cars to complement this. |
